Your Big Day –based on the classic Spanish format by the same name TU GRAN DIA which first aired on pubcaster TVE- is a talent competition where any one with a talent and a lust for the limelight can show off what they've got. A discriminating panel decides who's talent is the best and worth awarding a big cash prize.

In each episode, fifteen contestants all with varied talents come together to compete on stage. We'll see mesmerizing magicians crazy clowns, corny comedians, sensational singers and dynamite dancers. Each of them are vying to win over a panel of celebrity judges and a jury of thirty ordinary people that are broken down into three age groups from young to old.

Together, the panel of judges and the people's jury, must choose three finalists out of every show. The celebrity judges award one point for each performance they like the most. The people's jury are given a buzzer with two buttons: YES or NO. If a minimum of fifteen members and a maximum of twenty four press YES, the contestant gets one extra point. If twenty five, or more, members push YES the contestant gets two points.

The scores are added up and the contestants that get five points automatically become the finalists. The ones with two points or less are eliminated from the competition. Contestants scoring three or four points must wait for a second voting round at the end of the show to discover if they will become finalists.

Eventually, each of the three finalists earns a small cash prize and the chance to take part in the big finale where they'll compete for the show's top cash prize.
