Saturday and Sunday afternoons on Antena 3, Juan Y Medio hosts 1 contra 100 quiz show with over 60,000 at stake for each contestant.
In this show, the contestant is faced with the challenge of completely eliminating the stand, made up of 100 people, in order to win the final prize.
In 1 contra 100 the host asks a question, giving the contestant 3 possible answers. The stand has 6 seconds to choose one of the three. The contestant also has to answer, yet he/she has certain help tools that the stand does not have: 3 saves, which he/she can use to pass the question and cut his/her winnings in half; 2 chances to consult the stand, where he/she can check how many people have selected a given answer, or 1 multiplier which he/she can use to double his/her earnings on the question of his/her choice. After each question the members of the stand who have answered incorrectly are eliminated, and for each mistake, the contestant wins 300.
If the contestant makes a mistake, all the money accumulated is distributed among the members of the stand. If the contestant manages to eliminate the 100 people in the stand, he/she then has two choices: he/she can either stick with the money accumulated thus far, which could be over 30,000, or he/she can choose to answer one last question. If he/she gets it right, he/she wins all the money accumulated, plus 30.000 more. But if he/she answers wrong, he/she walks away with nothing at all.
A game of cultural intuition, with loads of novelty and nice doses of humour, where the stand is a very tough opponent. |
