This show managed to bring together more than 1300 inventions that aspired to become "THE INVENTION OF THE CENTURY".
The initial stage eliminated creations that were already on the market, projects with only one industrial application, those with major technical misgivings and those that would be difficult to market.
Those who made it past the first stage of the selection process were invited to present their ideas or prototypes to a panel of judges. The panel was made up of:
MANUEL MATELLÁN. A journalist and attorney who has served as the President of the SPANISH INVENTORS’ CLUB for 25 years.
RISTO MEJIDE. An advertising copywriter who has worked for some of the most prestigious advertising agencies in Spain. He holds both an MBA and a university degree in Business Administration and Management.
PILAR JERICÓ. With a PhD in Business Organization and an undergraduate degree in Economic and Business Sciences, she works as a human resources consultant, as well as being a management coach and the author of the best seller “No miedo en la empresa y en la vida”.
The inventions accepted by this very strict panel of judges took part in the El Invento del Siglo galas, where the inventors were asked to convince the studio audience and viewers that their inventions were indeed grand.
