With the help of the prestigious professor Ricardo Bru, Gestmusic turned hypnosis
into a television art. Every week, Ricardo Bru, holder of the world record for group hypnosis, transported ten people into this state of trance, thus showing his prowess in the art of suggestion.
Between being awake and asleep, the hypnotised people became the real stars of the programme, carrying out all sorts of gags suggested by Bibiana Fernández, who was to become a top presenter in many other programmes produced by Gestmusic. Some famous names also appeared on the programme, such as Carmen Sevilla, who asked the hypnotised people to do odd things, such as imitating a snivelling lapdog.
Hip, hip, hipnosis was the first entertainment programme from by independent Spanish production company to be sold to Telecinco. This was the beginning of a close relationship between the private channel and Gestmusic that would result in so many hours of broadcasting. |
