Dutifrí

‘Dutifrí’ (the Spanish pronunciation of “Duty Free”) is a travel show, a human journalism programme that aims to find out what life is like for Spaniards who one fine day decided to go off and live somewhere else in the world.

Javier Sardà hops from continent to continent, from culture to culture, meeting people who describe the ever-surprising and odd aspects of their ways of life.

A Rasta holiday in Jamaica, mysterious mummies in Palermo, a trapeze artist in Las Vegas, the blue helmets in Lebanon, the secret tunnels left behind by World War II in Gibraltar, a ghost named Paco in Edinburgh and the return of a Spanish military doctor and Vietnam War veteran to the former Saigon, are just a few of the stories, places and people that Sardà will come across in this second season of ‘Dutifrí’.

Accompanying our host to the different corners of the world are friends such as Estopa, Paz Padilla, Rosa María Sardà, Alejandro Sanz, Los Morancos, Jesús Vázquez and Joan Manuel Serrat.

In a word, ‘Dutifrí’ invites the Tele 5 viewer to come out and view the world through the windows of surprise, irony and tenderness.
